Use These Bedroom Design Ideas Too Along With Your String Lights
Pick a focal point
First thing's first. Pick a point of the room that you want to be the main focus.
For many, this is the headboard, or the window.
The first rule of interior design is that you should only have one main focus point, otherwise the room gets too cluttered and crazy.
More and more people are using artwork in place of a headboard.
That is, they get a platform bed, and then use a large and eye-capturing piece of artwork as the headboard.
It's a great way to really transform the room in all sorts of great ways.
Why not knock out two birds with one stone.
With colors, patterns, artwork, design, go big!
You have the ability to make the room as bold as you want to, so go on out there and do just that.
Pick a neutral color and then spice it up with brightly colored comforters, sheets, accent pillows, photo frames, etc.
You can really have some fun with this and create a room that is going to be full of attitude and/or expression.
This is great for any bedroom in your home.
Going Bold can be intimidating but as long as you stay true to what you like, I’m sure you will be able to piece everything together just fine.
Pick a bed to match the size of the room
It's easy to want to get a small bed that you can afford or a large one that is going to give you plenty of space to stretch out.
But, you have to think about the look and feel of the room as well.
That bed may be comfortable but spaces that feel cramped will start to get to anyone after a while.
The thing about the room size is that you can't change it, but you can make the most out of the space and having the right size bed will make a huge difference.
Focus on what you want for the room
Whichever room you are decorating, make sure that you are focusing on what feels good to you.
It's tempting, when it comes to home decor, to follow some sort of path because that's what the Pros on ‘that show’ said you should do.
I’m sure you, just like most of us, want the finished room to look like something out of a magazine, in terms of everything coming together perfectly!
This is all good but you want to be able to see yourself in the room.
It is your home, your creation, and your perfect design, so make sure that you have it looking like something that you made and something that feels homey to you every time you walk into your home.
Natural light is your best friend
Always, always always with any room, use natural light to your advantage.
Light will open up any room and make it look larger and more inviting.
I get it, those black out curtains are important to help keep you asleep when the sun rises but they don’t need to be in every room.
